Funerals

A death in our family leaves us in a state of shock and numbness.

At this time the parish tries to support you through our Prayers and Loving Support.  The priests of the parish will provide all the help you require in planning the funeral services.

Usually, we have The Reception of the Body into the Church at 5pm and the Funeral Mass at 10am.

Music often is appropriate and enhances the prayerfulness of the Funeral: Through the Parish Office you can make contact with our Parish Organists and we can also recommend singers.

Our Bethany Bereavement Group offers support at their monthly meeting and can also be contacted through the Parish Office. Their support has been invaluable to many.

Members of the Parish Funeral Support Team attend at the liturgy of the removal.  They provide the gospel reading, lead in saying a decade of the Rosary and are available for any assistance requested by the celebrant priest or by those who are bereaved.

Every November as a Parish Community we have a special Mass on a Saturday evening at 6.30pm to remember those in our parish who died in the last year. All families who lost a loved one are invited to this mass.
